Time to Celebrate Fair Housing and National Homeownership Months
2008 is the 40th Anniversary of the historic 1968 Fair Housing Act. President Lyndon Johnson urged congress to approve the Fair Housing Act just one week following the assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. as a tribute to Dr. King's legacy and commitment to civil rights. One of the Act's central objectives was to prevent discrimination based on race in the residential sales or rental of apartments / housing. This significant Act has since empowered people from all races and ethnicities to pursue the dream of equal access to housing. We at Dubin Residential a Chicago based real estate developer and one of the City's top 50 residential home builders, applaud this act as it helps all people pursue their dream in purchasing a home in Chicago be it a Condo or Town home or loft. Dubin Residential is very much committed to Fair Housing. We build homes in Chicago and while majority of our houses that we build are for sale in all types of income levels, we are also one of the leading providers of affordable housing provider under the Chicago Partnership for Affordable Neighborhoods (CPAN). Our current real estate developments include the Chicago Shoemaker Lofts Condominiums in Avondale on the City?s Northwest side. Fair housing is an important part of our green landscape, and with out it, buyers of Chicago Condos, Town homes or Lofts would be at an unfair disadvantage. Dr. King would be green with envy of how far we have come in fair housing to make the American dream assessable to everyone, in either a good market or one that has a sign of a recession. At Dubin Residential, we strive to give you the best value, a fair price and a great product for your money at all times. For more information about us please log on to www.mydubin.com.
