Dubin Residential Announces Grand Opening for The Courts of Evanston
Dubin Residential will start sales June 29 for The Courts of Evanston, its new community of 90 townhomes at the northeast corner of Chicago Avenue and South Boulevard in the northern suburb. Ranging in size from 2,200 to 4,110 square feet, the three-story townhomes are available in eight floor plans with two to three bedrooms, family rooms, two to three baths, and attached, two-car garages. Pre-construction prices start in the mid $300,000s.
"The Courts of Evanston will be one of our best developments to date," said David Dubin, president of Chicago-based Dubin Residential. "New townhomes are very rare in Evanston, and these will offer more square footage, parking and outdoor space than most condominiums in the area."
Designed by Chicago-based Hartshorne + Plunkard Architecture, The Courts of Evanston will be arranged in five roughly U-shaped buildings, each comprising 18 townhomes and separated by landscaped courtyards. Every townhome will have three levels of outdoor space - including a yard off the family room, a balcony off the second-floor kitchen and a rooftop deck.
The townhomes will have a garage, bath and family room on the first floor; a living room, dining room and kitchen with balcony on the second floor; and bedrooms and additional baths on the third floor.
According to Leonard Koenig, sales and marketing director for Dubin Residential, every townhome will also have a roof room that includes washer/dryer hookups and storage space.
"The beauty of having the washer and dryer in the roof room is that they're close to the bedroom level without taking space away from it," Koenig said.
Standard features at The Courts of Evanston will include pre-finished hardwood floors and a gas fireplace with ceramic tile hearth and surround on the living room level. The bedrooms, family room, hallways and stairs will have luxury carpeting.
In the kitchen, standard features include peninsula islands with granite countertops, a choice of designer maple or oak cabinetry, and Whirlpool Gold Series appliances.
Standard bath features include designer ceramic tile flooring and tub and shower surrounds; Corian vanity tops with integrated double-bowl sinks in master bathrooms; six-foot soaking tubs; and Grohe chrome faucets.
The community will be within easy walking distance of downtown Evanston, Lake Michigan and the Northwestern University Campus. According to Koenig, The Courts of Evanston will appeal to buyers from the city who are looking to start families.
"They'll get city amenities but with suburban schools," he said. "And thanks to the CTA train stop across the street, they can be downtown in 20 minutes." The sales center, located at 525 Chicago Ave., will feature a virtual-reality model that gives visitors a tour through one of the community's courtyards and into a three-story townhome.
"The virtual model will be furnished and decorated," Koenig said. "It will be so realistic, in fact, that we can make printouts from the model that are almost indistinguishable from photographs."
Sales hours are Saturday through Wednesday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. To reach the sales center, take Interstate 94 to the Dempster exit, and drive east to Chicago Avenue. Turn right to South Boulevard. For more information, call (847) 328-1888, or visit www.dubinresidential.com.
